M(F)L  TEACHER

Welcome to my website where I would like to share resources relevant for secondary teachers of French, Spanish and German. As I am teaching in Scotland, I use the terminology of S1-S6 which corresponds to year 7 to 12. 

In my blog, I talk about new ideas, Conti's EPI methodology and recommend resources I've come across on social media. As a native speaker of German, I am particularly eager to share culturally relevant topics such as festivals, traditions and how you can include them in your teaching. 

Since lockdown, I have developed a keen in interest in digital tools and how they can be effectively used in MFL teaching to increase students' motivation and engagement. I have also embraced Conti's E.P.I. method that are now the basis of my lesson planning. On my website, I will share my latest findings and how I use technology to teach synchronously and asynchronously.  

I have recently added the "Everything E.P.I" section to this site, as I've been fortunate to adapt the German Pre-Intermediate to Intermediate Sentence Builder book, which was published in October 2021. I co-authored the German Primary Sentence Builder Book and proofread chapters of the Spanish GCSE Sentence Builder book and Spanish Verb Pivots in 2022. I am currently adapting the German GCSE book, which will be published in 2024. I will share my experience and ideas about Gianfranco Conti's method in "Everything E.P.I.".
